FFN On Tap Melbourne – May Wrap Up

The first FFN on Tap event of the year was held last night at the Imperial Hotel on Bourke Street, Melbourne, and was attended by approximately 40 young ag-enthusiasts. The event was sponsored by Greenham, a Victorian-based beef processor, and featured a passionate and engaging presentation by Dr Sarah Bolton, Greenham Dairy Beef and Animal Welfare Manager.

Sarah shared her journey of becoming a self-professed “animal welfare nerd”, highlighting the importance of social science research in shaping our production practices to ensure they are aligned with evolving public values. She emphasised that such practices can also provide consumers with a reason to purchase animal products, improving the long-term viability of our industry.

The attendees listened intently to Sarah’s presentation, and the event was hailed as a great success. Guests enjoyed the opportunity to make new connections and share a few laughs over drinks, and the night was filled with positive energy.

Commenting on the event, FFN Director, Will Burke said, “We are thrilled with the success of last night’s event. Sarah’s presentation was both informative and inspiring, and it was great to see so many agribusiness professionals come together to network and share ideas. We would like to thank Greenham for their sponsorship and support, and we look forward to hosting more FFN on Tap events in the future.”

The FFN on Tap series is a networking event that brings together young agribusiness professionals, farmers, and students to build stronger connections in their regions. The events provide an opportunity to hear from industry leaders, share knowledge, and build valuable networks.
