Applications are now open for the 2026 Zanda McDonald Award, one of Australasia’s most prestigious recognitions for young leaders in agriculture.
The Award, launched in memory of cattle industry leader Zanda McDonald, supports emerging talent across Australia and New Zealand with an incredible professional development package. Each year, one Australian and one New Zealander are named winners and receive:

A tailored mentoring program with some of agriculture’s most respected leaders

Fully funded trans-Tasman travel and unique learning experiences

Up to $10,000 AUD (or equivalent) for education or training

Access to an influential alumni and networking community
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must be aged 21–35 (as of 31 October 2025), actively working in agriculture or agribusiness in Australia or New Zealand, and ready to showcase their leadership, vision, and commitment to the sector.
