Applications are now open for the 2026 program of the Lachlan Hughes Foundation (LHF) Scholarship & Mentoring Program, backed by the Foundation’s commitment to supporting the next generation of regenerative agriculture leaders.
About the Lachlan Hughes Foundation
The Lachlan Hughes Foundation was established to honour the life, passion, and legacy of Lachlan Hughes, a young Queensland beef producer who was deeply committed to regenerative agriculture and continuous learning.
The Foundation exists to support people who share Lachlan’s values, those who are curious, open-minded, humble and driven to improve their landscapes, businesses and communities.
Its purpose is to empower emerging agricultural leaders with the skills, confidence and support needed to implement regenerative practices and contribute positively to the future of Australian agriculture. Through mentorship, education and hands-on project work, the Foundation continues Lachlan’s vision of building resilient farmers and thriving ecosystems.
About the Program
The LHF Program is a 12-month, mentored training journey that combines practical field workshops, personal leadership development and a hands-on on-farm reconstruction project using regenerative agriculture principles. The successful applicant will get to:

Design and implement a regen-ag project on your farm or enterprise.

Build leadership, communication and public-speaking skills.

Become part of the LHF Alumni community and accelerate your influence in the industry.
Who can apply
The Foundation invites applications from individuals (or couples) who:

Are currently working or involved in the Australian agricultural industry.

Are passionate about regenerative agriculture and its practices.

Are able to commit to the program workshops and time requirements.

Are capable of designing and implementing their own on-farm regen project.
