Rebecca Gowen, Vice Chair, and Toby Locke, Executive Officer attended the 23rd National Farmers Federation (NFF) Members Council Meeting on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th July. The conference was held in Toowoomba and it was a busy two days with pressing Agricultural topics covered.

The National Farmers’ Federation (NFF) is the peak national body representing farmers and agriculture across Australia. As a member of NFF we represent and communicate the voice of the young farmers. We work with the FFN community of young Agriculture professionals to develop innovative and forward-looking solutions to the issues affecting young people in agriculture and keep the future of this industry a topical discussion.

This was Toby Locke’s first Members Council so it worked as a platform to discuss various issues with key industry contacts while gaining knowledge and a greater understanding of the NFF processes. To follow on from the NFF Members Council Meeting, Toby Locke met with Charlie Thomas, General Manager for Digital and Industry Partnerships, and Sophie Keatinge, ‎Head of Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement to discuss the upcoming Australian Farmer Online Platform which is set to launch on 19 July.

To ensure FFN accurately represents our community we conduct regular polls and surveys. If you have any pressing matters you would like raised at the next NFF Members Council, please get in touch with Toby Locke on toby.locke@futurefarmers.com.au
