Nominations are now open for individuals who are interested in joining the 2026 Future Hort Leaders’
Forum Committee (the FHLF Committee).
Celebrating its inaugural year in 2026, the Future Hort Leaders’ Forum (FHLF) will be the ultimate
educational, capacity building and networking event for youth in the horticulture industry. Established by the Future Farmers Network and to be held annually in Toowoomba, the multi-day conference focuses on equipping young people with the tools necessary to commence and build their own careers in the horticulture industry.
Role: Volunteer Committee Member
Location: Committee members must be able to attend FHLF in-person in Toowoomba,
Queensland
Meetings: Fortnightly, online.
Committee: The FFN Board are seeking election of up to two-four (2-4) committee members.
Tenure: 1 year (April 2026 – March 2027)

Responsibilities
The FHLF Committee is required to develop FHLF for the purposes of promoting the education and
development of young people in agricultural, industrial and related activities; assist in the organisation of activities or events that form the FHLF; and provide advice and recommendations to the Future Farmers Network by analysing the activities of FHLF and ensure their continued relevance to young people.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to nominate to join the FHLF Committee, individuals must be:
a) between the ages of 18 and 35 as at October 2026; and
b) a financial member of the Future Farmers Network as at the time of nomination

Nominations Open Wednesday, 25 March 2026
Nominations Close 5pm (AEST) Wednesday, 8 April 2026
Successful Applicants Announced: Friday, 17 April 2026
