Young farmers from across New South Wales and beyond are being invited to take part in the Young Farmer Exchange, a free event designed to bring the next generation of agricultural leaders together for conversation, connection and fresh thinking about the future of the industry. The event will be held on Thursday 2 April from 10am to 1pm AEDT at the See Room, Members Pavilion, Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Hosted by NSW Farmers, the Young Farmer Exchange marks the official relaunch of the Young Farmer Business Program and will focus on the theme “Agriculture 2075: Investment, Innovation and Influence.” The event is being delivered by The Farm Business Resilience Program and the NSW Farmers Young Farmer Council, in conjunction with the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW Youth Groups.
The Young Farmer Exchange will bring together young farmers, industry leaders, innovators and key decision-makers to explore what Australian agriculture could look like in 2075. Through a panel discussion and open conversation, attendees will hear from leaders shaping the future of farming while also having the chance to contribute their own ideas, perspectives and questions.
The event is designed to offer both insight and connection. Participants will engage with a panel discussion featuring industry leaders, researchers and young farmers, conversations about the future of agriculture, investment and innovation, and the opportunity to stay on for a networking lunch overlooking the parade ring in the See Room.
Importantly, the event is free to attend, although registration is required and places are limited. Registration covers attendance at both the panel session and networking lunch, however the please note that Sydney Royal Easter Show entry tickets are not included, so attendees will need to arrange their own entry to the Show.
For young people working in agriculture, building a future in the industry or simply wanting to expand their networks and thinking, this is a valuable opportunity to hear from leaders, connect with peers and be part of an important conversation about where agriculture is headed next.
